Palm Coast, Florida is a community in Flagler County. It is located about halfway between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine. Palm Coast has been one of the fastest growing communities in Florida and the nation since that time.
In 1993 Father Theodore Bacha of blessed memory, rector of St Simeon’s Church in Titusville, asked several Palm Coast Orthodox Christians who were attending services in Titusville if they would like to establish their own mission. Services were held once a month with Father Ted on Sunday afternoons in a storefront location.
In 1995 His Eminence Archbishop Dmitri officially proclaimed St Alexis a mission station. Father Michael Meredith, a retired priest, conducted services every Sunday morning and Vespers one Saturday evening each month. A Sunday School program and adult Bible class were started.
In 1996 Father Michael was assigned full time priest in Titusville. St. Alexis Mission moved to a larger location when we outgrew the storefront. In 1997, we again relocated to St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bunnell. A dedicated group of Orthodox Christians continue to work toward making services available to area Orthodox faithful and to bring others to the Orthodox faith. The side entrance to the church is wheelchair accessible.
Divine Liturgy is held on Sunday at 9:30 AM. Since 2000, Archpriest Nicholas Molodyko-Harris (retired from the Diocese of Alaska) has served as spiritual father to St. Alexis parishioners. Joined by his wife, Matushka Anastasia Molodyko-Harris, they have faithfully traveled from their home in Merritt Island, Florida, to serve St. Alexis.
Father Nicholas Molodyko-Harris is assisted by Fr. Phillip Drennan on a regular basis.
We look forward to the challenges and opportunity of spreading the Orthodox Faith to our community.

The Sisterhood for St. Alexis Mission is dedicated to the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
The Sisterhood assists in the maintenance of our parish, sponsors church fellowships, engages in fund raising, and facilitates participation and communication within the parish.
The president of the Sisterhood is Carol Ann Pearce.
The Sisterhood is open to all women who are members of the parish.
On the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos we implore the defense and assistance of the Queen of Heaven, “Remember us in your prayers, O Lady Virgin Mother of God, that we not perish by the increase of our sins. Protect us from every evil and from grievous woes, for in you do we hope, and venerating the Feast of your Protection, we magnify you.”
St Alexis Orthodox Mission has a dedicated group of its community who serve in the church choir.
Matushka Anastasia Molodyko-Harris, Matushka Rozanne Rucker, Presbytera Gail Stavru, and Karla Anna Ayer serve as choir directors.
New members are always welcome.
